OPEN SEW FRIDAY
1st and 3rd Fridays Session runs from 11am until everybody goes home! Cost $5.00 to the teacher available. The class does fill up at times so it is suggested that you call ahead.
FREE SEW MONDAY
Free Mondays -Sew -Quilt -Create It’s your choice.
Monday Open Sew is back. Join fellow stitchers for some undisturbed sewing time for free. Arrive anytime after 11am and stay until at least 5pm if you like. Reserving a seat is best but if you just pop in we can probably squeeze you There is no charge for this class but please call ahead to reserve a seat. 860-417-6522.

Mystery Quilt Series to Celebrate America- SaturdayS, Sept 3, Oct 1, Nov 5, Dec 3, Jan 7, Feb 4, Mar 3 10-12 PM. G. Thiel Make this scrappy mystery quilt starting on Labor Day. Cost to secure your spot is $20.00 and $10.00 at each of the next 5 classes for a total of $70.00 which includes class, pattern and all fabric for the blocks. You will choose the fabric to be used at each monthly class. At each class you will cut all fabric needed for your blocks that month and complete at least one block and the rest is homework. The overall quilt size is 45 x 61 and borders are not included in the fee. Class limited to 13. Makeup class can be arranged if you miss a class.
Buck a Block- Starting in January a new version of the Buck a Block BOM series will begin. Each month you will pick up a kit for ONLY $1.00. In each kit you will get 2 strips of fabric and a pattern using Thangles. At the end of the program you will have 24 8 inch blocks which can then be assembled into a twin size quilt by adding your choice of sashing, borders and cornerstones. First kit available Jan 6. Sign up any time. LIMITED to 1 kit per person. Please NOTE this program is LIMITED in number.
* A full set of all 13 patterns may be purchased.No fabric included.You will need 1 yard each of two contrasting fabrics to create all 24 blocks.
Calendar Quilt- Fall in LOVE with paper piecing! Starting Jan 14th 9 am-11am.
The 1st class will be your introduction to foundation paper piecing or sewing by number. We will do a practice block 1st and then you will receive the pattern and fabrics for January. The cost of the 1st class is $10. For the next 9 months, Feb thru Oct the class will meet 9-11am on the 2nd Saturday of each month, costing $5 but not including any fabric. November’s class you will also get December’s in hopes you can complete before the holidays. Miss a class and you are welcome to pick up the pattern.

begging for more. More paper piecing. There are just millions of patterns out
there waiting for you. Once you discover the ease & accuracy of paper
piecing you just won’t quit.

Beginner’s Course
6 Thursdays starting March 1st. 6:30-8pm $65.00 Gay Thiel
Everything you need to know to get started on your
way to creating something truly unique. Each week you will learn one of the
many components of quilting. Each step is an important factor in making your projects
come together just right. All the basics skills will be covered and then
practiced by building a small quilt in a Sudoku pattern. Kit will be included
for top only.
The Big “T” Saturday March 10th 1-4 $20.00 P.Henry Now here is a technique that really lets you use up that collection of fat quarters or put a big dent in your stash. Each pair of fat quarters makes four blocks. The T’s are constructed of half square triangles which are easily made using Thangles or any other method you prefer. Make as many or has few as you like. Four will make a runner, 56 make a twin quilt.
Spring Wheels Saturday
March 10th 2-5 & Sunday March 11th 1-4 (2 part class) K.Miranda $25.00.This is
such a F-U-N quilt. We encourage you to dig out all those itsy bitsy scraps you‘ve been saving just waiting for the right
project to come along. Well this is it. Learn
foundation paper piecing and be amazed at how accurate all your blocks
are.
Log Cabin Saturday March 17th 9am-3pm K.Miranda $25.00
Simple yet beautiful. Just one very l-a-r-g-e log cabin block. Your fabric choice is the key to making this stunning twin size quilt sing. If you have your layout ready to go, you could surely finish this in a day or weekend. It is that simple, easy & fun. Bring a lunch or visit any one of the many local eateries.
Free Motion Quilting-with Karen. This class is offered as a private or semi private lesson due to the nature of the technique. Contact Karen at 860-826-1941 to schedule a date.
